You can’t buy your way into heaven!

Only living a life a righteousness, by faith in Christ will deliver you from death

The day of wrath: the day when God’s righteous anger is displayed; judgement day!

This day of wrath or judgement has more than one context. There is a a final day of wrath where the whole earth will be judged and a new heaven and earth will emerge.

Then there is the wrath or judgement that comes upon each one of us, on our soul. Those who know and have received Christ are being judged daily. When we come to Christ by faith, the righteous hand of God separates us. He justifies, sanctifies, and glorifies those who have repented and have believed in His name.

Romans 8:30 NLT
[30] And having chosen them, he called them to come to him. And having called them, he gave them right standing with himself. And having given them right standing, he gave them his glory.

There is a daily judgement of each believer, in their heart. And there is a future day of wrath where God will judge everyone, the whole earth, both the living and the dead. Those who are in Christ, have passed the first judgement

[24]  “I tell you the truth, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life.

The Prophet Zephaniah prophesies of a coming day of judgement, when the wrath of God will be poured out

Zephaniah 1:15 NLT
[15] It will be a day when the Lord’s anger is poured out— a day of terrible distress and anguish, a day of ruin and desolation, a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and blackness,

But in Christ, that day of judgement has already begun. The whole earth is being judged. We cannot buy a right standing before a holy and righteous God. All we can do is receive the free gift of salvation, through the once for all time atoning sacrifice of Jesus y the Lamb of God, who has taken away the sin of the world. Living a life of righteousness, through faith in Christ, is the only way to God the Father (John 14:6)
