As He breaks me of me, I am set free, so that He can live His life through me.
So many times I’ve pushed God away by simply wanting my own way and trying to manage His calling on my life. God wants all of me, so that He can pour all of Himself into and through me, there by drawing more lost sheep to Himself.
He’s calling me to be the light of the world (Matthew 5:14-16) set on a hill, ready to shine for His Kingdom and glory.
He’s no looking for religious zealots who want to serve themselves, but servants who will let everything go for the sake of following Him, seeking first His kingdom and righteousness. He’s looking for those who will abandon their own will and desires, become poor in spirit, meek, pure of heart, peacemakers, who hunger and thirst for righteousness.
Are you waiting for your breakthrough? It comes through humble sacrifice and submission to Him and His will.
Matthew 5:2-11 ESV
[2] And he opened his mouth and taught them, saying: [3] “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. [4] “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. [5] “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. [6] “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. [7] “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. [8] “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. [9] “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. [10] “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. [11] “Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account.
